My 3 year old twin girls use this for "parties" with their dolls and stuffed animals. The different toppings allow for lots of different cakes. The parts are very durable and the storage container allows for a nice neat pick-up. Not a very educational toy but it is still a winner due to social play it encourages.

It's nice to see a wooden toy instead of cheap plastic. well she likes it. that's her tho, not the toy. I wish it had some kind of case instead of the open top box, lots of peices we're trying to keep together. Nice toy, I'd recommend it.
I put most of them away for now, maybe later it will be fun and not just messy.~ You can't take a slice out without ruing the cake. My 2 yr old got this as a birthday gift since friends knew she would be getting a kitchen for Christmas. very frustrating for my toddler. It is:~ very durable~ adorable ~ fun to play with~ great gift What my gripes are:~ Toooooo many little pieces. Candles, and wooden circle to stick on the cake. Would I buy it for someone else. Probably.
I got this for my children for Christmas. Unlike many other play kitchen foods, it is a very sturdy product. The kids love it.
I don't understand why there is not a lid. My daughter got it for her 2nd birthday, and enjoys playing with it.whenever she can get it away from her 6 year old sister. This is a great toy. It makes it difficult to store and stack with other food. It it an item that can be enjoyed on many levels and by many ages. My one complaint is the storage box. I know it's a small thing, but are'nt we all looking for items that make our life easier. A simple flat lid that fastens on this toy would keep everything in place without making it necessary to use a plastic bag or another box.
